 Jogging
This is the basic and most common method of training by almost, if not all, athletes. Despite the advance technology available, jogging is still a very popular form of training.

eat nothign before jogging if you want your body to eat muscle. Jogging on an empty stomach (ie first thing in the morning), is a bad idea since it is going to be cortisol city, which hurts muscle badly. eat your breakfast first.

 Regarding Jogging
Eat something before you jogg. That will give you some energy, like an apple or drink a glass of juice. Dont take heavy foods like milk, pasta etc. But do all this and wait for about 40 minutes and then go out for jogging.

A banana would probably we a good thing to eat before going out jogging due to it's slow energy release qualities. Definately avoid anything too heavy and remember to take in enough fluids.

during cross country when we have two-adays, i start my morning with a half a glass of milk and some yogurt or half of a granola bar or a small handful of cereal ... i advise against something that's substantially liquidy if you're not used to running ... quite a few runners find the sloshing in their stomach disturbing and disgusting ... and it also tends to make people feel ill ...

I have to agree. I've experienced it several times that people drink a lot before jogging and then feel sick on the road.
In general everyone should try out on his own what's the best food ( and which amount of food ) before he goes out.

Jogging is healthy for your body and fun to do ; we all know this.
But in my opinion i have always regarded jogging as mainly for women who want to lose weight.
Perhaps this is why i never jog:D
My experience tells me that it is not good to drink or eat before running in general unless you are used to or do it regularly.
