 Swimming
In certain cases, some athletes would include swimming as part of their training regimen. What can be gained from this exercise is the correct regulation of breathing.

yeah, good suggestion,but i am not good at swimming, to be frankly,i have not learnt how to swim, but my buddies who are good at swimming have a large vital capacity.

 Regarding benefits of Swimming
Any form of exercise that raises your heart rate consistently will help your heart rate consistently will help you stay in shape. I would like to add here by saying that swimming works on the large back and leg muscles, which burn the most calories.

 Breathing
Swimming can definitely increase your lung capacity. Many of my swim practices were spent timing strokes to breathing (i.e. 5 strokes of freestyle then a breath to the left, 5 more strokes, then a breath to the right.)

I love swimming and this is my favourite form of exercise i love it feel so relaxed as well when we are doing a swim - I swim about 50 laps every couple of days

actually, in most instances, with regular practice, your shoulder/back muscles become the strongest ... my legs became more or a lean muscle ... my arms and core muscles were always strained and exerted at the end of each practice ...

God swimming needs so much stamina. I have just been for a week last summer but couldn?t continue it. As due to the chlorine level in the water I got rashes on my skin. I have invested so much money on my costumes, goggles
I hope I?ll find a better pool this summer

I use to swim for HS for 2 hours each day... straight. It definitly works just about every muscle you have, but to me it worked more of my legs and than my arms. It also depends on what stroke you use... freestyle is the easiest, while fly is the hardest.

for athletes specifically?
i know that swimming is good for your body and for your muscles and i have done swimming previously, but i have never thought that professionally athletes are doing this as part of their training.
Anyway your shoulder muscles are used mostly in the exercises i guess.

about swimming, i think i am superior. i love swimming. we dont have any beach in our country but we have lots of rivers, lakes and ponds. and ofcourse springs too.
i grew up swimming in rivers. wow. swimming in flood is danger but interesting.

I`ve an olympic pool in front of my house.Sometimes i go there for swimming.Nowadays it is so expensive and i cant go there oftenly.My country has lots of places that you can swim.We are very lucky for this.

Swimming is beneficial for our respiration process. It is one of the exercise that hepls the person to breathe normally even at old age. Swimming does not only help to save life when drowning but it is considered a good exercise for human lungs.
