 Martial Arts Training
We want to enroll our child in Martial arts training. Although she is still very young for this, we are too excited that is why we are starting to scout for possible training center to enroll her. What are the best martial arts for girls? We want her to learn this so she could protect herself.

I have done martial arts some time ago. Martial arts is a sport mainly for males persons in my opinion and despite the fact that some girls are also practicing it, i do not think it is suitable for your daughter. What is her age? Also for self defense, i don't know how much it will help her. Martial arts is not what you see on tv, kicking several guys effortless.

martial arts ain't for girls??? i was enrolled when i was four ... and i was one of two girls in a class of 30 ... look around, because a lot of centers have classes according to age and experience ... and to get her in with a starter group, she shouldn't have any problems at all ... and screw the whole stereotype of girls not doing martial arts ... it was a blast ...

Martial arts are very good for a child wheter she or he.Nowadays there are so many bad people around the world who can harm you and your family so i think it is a great way both for socializing and protecting your child.Maybe she can be a great martial artist in the future who knows.

huh? I still thing that martial art is not for girl, the reason that girls practice is that they have no personality and try to imitate the males/boys.
I think they find it fascinating just because they feel weak and inferior to the guys and if they practice it in their mind feel more secure; the truth is that is generally acknowledged that the female sex is called the weak sex and there is no need for girls to try to change it.

excuse me, WEAK SEX??? are you saying that i am weak ... just because i am a girl, i'm supposed to be inferior ... and i have NO PERSONALITY and try to imitate the boys ...
who set the distinguishing marks that said BOYS MUST BE THIS WAY and GIRLS MUST BE THIS WAY ... society did ... and you know what society also says, that all females should be 90 pounds and 6 feet tall to be pretty ... and that boys just be 6 foot tall and look buff and ripped and have a hard body ... society also says that smoking is ok ... society also says that watching tv all day and playing video games is ok ... following my drift ...
YOUR VIEW IS FREAKING FLAWED ...
you want to tell me i have no personality, fine ...
you want to say i'm weak, fine ...
BUT DO NOT SAY THAT SIMPLY BECAUSE I AM A FEMALE ...
i have kicked plenty of guys' asses ... in legitimate boxing fights ... in legitimate brawls ... so that makes me weak??? makes me have no personality???
the fact that i can rebuild an engine, go hunting, fishing, camping, have my commercial drivers liscense to drive big rig semis in a male-dominated career, or the fact that i sell auto parts in a male dominated career, or the fact that i lift weights and workout more than any guy i know, or the fact that i do rodeo in male-dominated events, THAT MAKES ME HAVE NO PERSONALITY???
all of that makes me STILL inferior ... when i can do all of that at least equally competent to if not far superior to men??? hmm, interesting concept ... VERY interesting concept, which is in NO WAY TRUE ...
i shall sit here awaiting an apology ...

I`m sorry but i must say its like an idea that comes from a 3.world country. There is nothing on the world so called "weak sex".It depends on person. It doesnt matter who she or he is.I`ve seen women doing so many things better than men.Just change your mind it is not good to think that way.
