 Proper lifting
Is it better to lift something repeatedly many times until you can't anymore, or lift something heavier less times unti you can't anymore?
I feel like I get a better workout when I benchpress less and lift more, rather than benchpress more and lift less. I also feel that when I benchpress more, I kickback sooner and will be abled to lift more than I would if I benchpressed less more times.
Hope that wasn't confusing. what do you think?

It all depends on your goals and what you want to achieve. If you want to gain size and strength, stick to heavy weight with less amount of reps. If you want to gain muscular endurance, stick to light weight with high amount of reps.

Interesting. But if you lift until you can't anymore doing the smaller reps, wouldn't you technically be lifting more, and wouldn't that make your strenght/weight go up? That was what I was referring to. What would be the difference from endurance and weight in this situation then?

no ... you're a bit confused with your benchpress vs. lift ...
the more weight you lift in the smaller amount of reps will build large muscle ...
the lesser amounts of weight with high amounts of reps will build leaner muscle with endurance ...
regardless, your strength will go up in either scenario, it's just different types of muscle ...
endurance means that you'll be able to do repeated motions longer, you'll be able to lift more ... like runners or bikers or swimmers generally have lean muscles because their sport/exercise of choice requires lean muscles that are able to do the same motion over and over ... other athletes like in javelin or discuss require strong muscle for one sudden burst ...

Bar bell bench press is one of my favorite exercises too, but just remember...Switch it up every now and then with your workout routine. You get used to the same routine, size and strength gains will be more difficult to increase.

I think lifting heavier things would help out more, it just seems like it would.
