In my opinion, arnold dumbbell presses is a very effective exercise for developing deltoid strength and stability along with shoulders. Still is one of the greats and always will be.
The only cons that I can think of is that you have to use lighter weights than you would with a traditional shoulder press movement. And also to add, this is an exercise where you are highly prone to shoulder injury. So like any other exercise, make sure you use strict form. And if you're new to the exercise, start out with light weights and build up from there. Other great and effective exercises for developing deltoid strength/size are front dumbbell raises and bent-over lateral raises.
