 Ultimate invasion of privacy
Last week, doctors in a Singapore hospital turned off the life support of a patient (inspite of his family?s protest), so that his organs could be used for transplants. This was done under an Act, which allows hospitals to remove kidney?s, liver, heart and corneas of all non-muslim citizens when they die unless they have given their objections in writing.
The ramifications of such a legislation, which is there in some other countries too, is horrifying. This amounts to the ultimate invasion of privacy. It means that even in death a persons body has no sanctity.

from the time i was twelve, i had a hand-written note expressing my desire to be an organ donor ... i currently am a card-holding organ donor ... my sister has been faced with diabetes ... it may not seem like the biggest of issues to most, but to see what she has gone through has even compounded my beliefs that even after i die, my earthly being can still be of use ... i would love for there to someday be a cure or a solution to better dealing with diabetes, as well as many other diseases, but Bush currently forbids stem cell research ... stem cell research could speed up the discovery of how some of these genetic diseases affect our bodies, and what can be done to prevent/aid persons with the disease in the future ... they've already designed a cure for diabetes, but without stem cell research, there's no way to test our their proposed cure ...
